Popup Domination is a wordpress popup plugin that puts one of those annoying lightbox subscription boxes on your website, find out why I wouldn’t recommend it to people!OK so my honest opinion about popup domination is it is an OK plugin but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!
Seriously I own a developer License of popup domination which theoretically means I should be able to use it on any of my own websites and clients websites.
I paid an extra 100 bucks for the developer License! Yeah I installed it on a couple of clients sites (those that wanted it). And it is still running perfectly on those sites.
My problems with popup domination only occurred later.
I think Michael Dunlop is a good marketer, very polished at selling shit online and all that, but what I think happened was a bit strange.
After my purchase of popup domination I started receiving loads of emails from the dude about every blog post he had ever written so after a few weeks of that I unsubscribed.
I mean I buy your popup domination wordpress plugin I don’t want to hear about top quotes from people and the history of fortune 500 CEOs and stuff, I’m interested in email marketing and stuff related to why I’m there in the first place.
So after I unsubscribed I went about my business and later when I went to install popup domination on a fresh blog it didn’t work, my activation code didn’t activate the plugin anymore.
In the time I’ve had the plugin, I’ve never once received an email that there has been an update! Had an email about a survey about an update but Ive not heard about an update.
So my opinion is it’s not an actively developed plugin and I’m happy with the option I use now, it has loads more features so it does some really cool stuff. I’ve not tested the popup options yet but I will.
Seriously though 1 feature of the plugin I use now got me 40% more subscribers, you can read about it in my next post:
